No. RENTCHEX is not in the eviction business. Our best customer is an Educated Landlord. We want good landlords to have all the tools so they can have a successful real estate investment.

No. Remember when you hire RENTCHEX, you make all the final decisions on your property. We’re not in the rental management business—we’re a small niche company that helps the landlords who are too small for larger management firms. Most of our clients are owner occupied doubles.

No. We are laser-focused on the rent collection portion of your relationship with your tenants.
RENTCHEX provides a degree of separation between you and your tenant. Think of us as your invisible “personal secretary” who handles the contractual rent collection part of your rental property.
You are free to choose your tenants, sign them up through your normal process, and maintain your property. RENTCHEX will handle the collection of rent and consult with you on the eviction process.

RENTCHEX is happy to provide you with all the standard documents needed to rent an apartment.

Once your account is set up, our fees are $10 per month per tenant. This fee is taken from the rent collected from your tenants before we direct deposit funds into your account.

RENTCHEX staff and vendors will never see your account numbers or those of your tenants. We use Bill.com as our secure rent collector and security deposit holder. They are in full compliance with the law and information privacy and security regulations.

Once the RENTCHEX system is set up, your tenants' rent money will automatically be directly deposited to your account at 12:00 a.m. on the last day of each month. No muss, no fuss.

We do the work for you. RENTCHEX has a monitoring system that notifies us once the funds are received from your tenants. When they arrive into your RENTCHEX account, they are time-stamped. Then, we continue to monitor your account to make sure the funds clear. At month’s end, the funds are released and ready for transfer to your account.

By January 31 each year, RENTCHEX will send you a detailed list of all proceeds collected in the previous year. We’ll also provide you with yearly statements at tax time. We can send these reports to you or directly to your accountant.

RENTCHEX provides small landlords with a multitude of resources, ranging from how to pick a tenant to how to conduct background checks and evict someone if it becomes necessary. We are on your side when it matters most.

Nope. You’ll pay legal fees directly to the attorney. We receive no proceeds from them—access to our network is simply a courtesy to our clients. You’re welcome to use your own attorney, too.

The landlord pays for their eviction. RENTCHEX will meet and prescreen local lawyers whose specialties are real estate and eviction law. You’ll be provided with the list if you need it!

There isn’t one! We were founded by a seasoned landlord who knows how to keep costs low. We’re very financially efficient, thanks to the state-of-the-art systems built by Bill.com.
